Medical and Technical Consultations
Carter BloodCare’s clinical services are supported by 24/7 consultation with physicians who are board certified and/or fellowship trained in blood banking and transfusion medicine. Our MDs provide medical and scientific expertise in donor eligibility and deferral, donor reactions, infectious disease testing, stem cell collection, storage and processing and centralized hospital transfusion services.
In-services
Carter BloodCare physicians and staff are prepared to offer continuous medical and technical education needs with complimentary blood banking presentations. Presentations can be tailored to meet the needs of a particular audience, or to reflect a particular emphasis. Information may also be provided to help clients prepare for their own presentations.

AABB also offers a complimentary Billing Guide for Blood Products and Related Services for download. The guide’s intent is to assist hospitals, clinicians, billing and coding professionals involved with the billing of services and procedures associated with the use of blood and transfusion.

Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan for Hospitals
In a disaster or emergency situation, Carter BloodCare intends to conduct business as usual to the greatest extent possible. However, some circumstances may require us to invoke contingency plans, including modified shipping schedules. Our goal is to meet the needs of patients by maintaining adequate inventories at all times and providing real-time inventory and distribution management in response to an emergency.
