Donate Blood This Holiday Season

Happy Holidays from Carter BloodCare! We all love this season- it is full of beautiful decorations, gift giving, and, most importantly, time with family and friends. It’s a wonderful time of year to be reminded of all the things in life we are thankful for.

However, did you know that the holiday season is extra-challenging for blood centers? We typically see a big strain on the blood supply this time of year- and this year is even more difficult as we are currently in an ongoing national blood shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please know that our community patients’ blood needs are just as crucial during the holidays. Can you take a break from your busy holiday schedule to stop into one of our donor centers? If you cannot donate, can you tell a friend or family member about our critical need for blood? What better way to celebrate the holiday season than by giving the gift of life to a local hospital patient in need?  

This holiday season, I am thankful for all you- our past, present, and future blood donors. Without you, we would not be able to do what we do. Together, we will continue to save lives by making transfusion possible.
